We are experienced portrait photographers and whether you are bringing along your baby, or a toddler or a group of teenagers we will make everyone involved feel completely at ease and find the whole session fun. Keeping people feeling real and relaxed is the key to succesful and happy portraits and it is something that we are good at. We have many families that have back again and again as their families are growing up which is lovely!.
Our studio is contemporary and has a white interior, the walls are soundproof and children and adults alike often feel very calm and relaxed here. It is a special place and it is both private and welcoming. We have the option to shoot in low light too and so your portraits can be lighty and airy or moody and evocative depending on your preference.
The studio is purpose built, converted from a stable and surrounded by our garden which we often use as a natural background for photographs. Children love to play outside and this gives a relaxed and real feel to the portraits. In the Summer months we have a variety of interesting and exciting plants which we often use to shoot through or from and this gives great interest to the shots. In Winter we use the natural light and often suggest fluffy hats, coloured scraves or cosy fleeces to give the photos are warm feeling. The garden is a lucky extension of the studio for us and allows you to have an extra dimension to your portrait session.
A portrait session takes around an hour and we never book in sessions back to back and so there is plenty of time for you to relax and have time to talk and really enjoy the whole experience. Please visit our FAQ page for more information.
